Best Overall: Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream
Why it’s worth it: If Illiyon isn’t already on your radar, allow this all-purpose formula to be your introduction to one of Korea’s top body-care brands. The Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream provides even the most sensitive skin with moisture and irritation relief. The decadent nourishing cream contains barrier-repairing ceramides to help keep your skin feeling hydrated all day long, says board-certified dermatologist Y. Claire Chang, MD. “As we mature, our skin’s ceramide level decreases, so it’s important to replace this [loss] with ceramide-containing skin-care products,” she adds. We also love how you can choose from several sizes, including a travel-friendly tube and a hefty tub.
Tester feedback: “My legs are a hot spot for eczema, so I have to be extremely careful about the body-care products I use or I will be up all night scratching at my skin,” says former Allure beauty editor Devon Abelman. “Illiyoon’s Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream is a no-brainer with its fragrance-free formula that blankets skin in comforting moisture and never annoyingly transfers onto clothes.”
Key ingredients: ceramides, ginseng root water, soybean oil | Who it's for: everyone, even those with sensitive and reactive skin | Fragrance-free: yes
Best Body Wash: Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Body Cleanser
Why it’s worth it: Inspired by the K-beauty brand’s best-selling toner and the significance of exfoliating in Korean bathing culture, the Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Body Cleanser chemically sloughs off dead skin cells, Chung Park points out. It relies on a powerful combination of salicylic, mandelic, and citric acids to reduce clogged pores and improve overall skin texture, Dr. Chang adds. If body acne is the bane of your existence, this gel body wash will definitely help clear up your skin.
Although it’s free of artificial fragrances, neem, tea tree, and eucalyptus extracts give this body wash a refreshing herbal scent, as well as anti-inflammatory benefits to help calm and soothe skin, Dr. Chang adds.
Model Peter Clarkson has sworn by Some By Mi’s AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Body Cleanser for years to keep his skin ultra-glassy—especially when he has shirtless photo shoots on his calendar. “I don’t have any issues with body acne but found that this gives me just absolute butter skin,” he tells Allure.
Key ingredients: cica, tea tree, salicylic acid, AHA, BHA, PHA | Who it's for: people dealing with acne on their chest, back, and butts | Fragrance-free: yes
Best for Sensitive Skin: Atopalm Top to Toe Wash
Why it’s worth it: The Atopalm Top to Toe Wash is safe enough for babies, so skin of all ages is guaranteed to feel ultra-soft and never stripped of moisture. It’s packed with moisture-retaining amino acids to keep your body feeling fresh and nourished long after hopping out of the shower. Plus, this incredible Korean body wash is pH-balanced to reduce irritation and maintain your skin’s barrier function.
Tester feedback: “Because of my leg-zema, I try to avoid fragranced body washes,” Abelman says. “Atopalm’s Top to Toe Wash checks off all the boxes I look for to avoid flare-ups. Free of fragrance, colorants, and mineral oil, this formula lightly lathers up to delicately cleanse my reactive skin without making it itchy.”

Best Body Scrub: Dear Doer The Hidden Body Scrub & Wash
Why it’s worth it: Bring the physical exfoliating, skin-smoothing effects of Korean body scrubs to your bathroom with the Dear Doer The Hidden Body Scrub & Wash. This musky floral-scented formula whisks away dryness, texture, and dead skin cells with a gentle pairing of fine grains of volcanic rock and coarse Andes salt to leave skin satisfyingly soft.
This body scrub has several Korean beauty awards to its name for its surprisingly creamy texture and body wash-like lather, which clings to limbs as you work it into your skin—instead of sliding right down the drain. Reach for it when prepping for shaving and self-tanning to avoid ingrown hairs and patchiness, respectively.
Key ingredients: salt, hyaluronic acid, wintergreen extract | Who it's for: those with rough, dry skin or deal with ingrown hairs after shaving | Fragrance-free: no
Best Body Lotion: Aestura Atobarrier 365 Ceramide Lotion
Why it’s worth it: Allure editors are such big fans of the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Ceramide Lotion that it won a 2024 Best of Beauty award for best light moisturizer. Yes, this deeply hydrating elixir placed in the face category, but it was formulated for use on every inch of your body—and on your baby’s, if you happen to have one. “It is gentle and great for those with dry, sensitive skin,” Dr. Chang says.
Content creator Vincent Tse loves this irritant-free lotion because it’s wonderfully non-clogging and lightweight while still packing crucial moisturizing power. “It’s perfect for dry skin in the fall and winter because it never feels greasy,” he tells Allure.
Tester feedback: “I fully agree with Vincent,” Abelman says. “This silky, milky formula absorbs at lightning speed and leaves my skin cashmere-soft. If you couldn’t tell already, I love a pump for body-care products and appreciate that Aestura’s Atobarrier 365 Ceramide Lotion has one for quick, mess-free application.”
Key ingredients: ceramide NP, squalane, niacinamide | Who it's for: anyone who wants to keep their skin hydrated everywhere | Fragrance-free: yes
Best for Body Acne: Dr. Orga pH-balanced Houttuynia Cordata Red Spot Mist
Why it’s worth it: Antioxidant-rich heart leaf extract puts the Houttuynia Cordata in the Dr. Orga pH-balanced Houttuynia Cordata Red Spot Mist. This popular K-beauty ingredient is known for soothing and healing inflammation, as well as preventing skin dehydration. It’s joined by AHA, BHA, and PHA to chemically exfoliate skin and banish body acne.

Tester feedback: “TMI but I recently had a pimple on my buttcheek, and I swear this made it go away overnight,” Abelman says. “I’ve been using it to fight breakouts on my face, but it seems to work faster and more effectively as a spot treatment for body acne. Plus, tea tree extract gives it an invigorating, spa-like herbal scent that I can’t get enough of.”
Key ingredients: cica, heart leaf, tea tree, niacinamide, gluconolactone, lactobionic acid, tartaric acid | Who it's for: Those dealing with body acne and inflammation | Fragrance-free: yes
Best for Discoloration: B.clinicx Brightening Body Lotion
Why it’s worth it: Over in Seoul, the B.clinicx Brightening Body Lotion won a 2024 Allure Korea Best of Beauty Award for best body lotion thanks to its tiny capsules of vitamin C that burst to help improve hyperpigmentation—perhaps on your underarms, elbows, or knees. The antioxidant-rich lemon-yellow lotion is also spiked with niacinamide and panthenol to give your body a hydrated, healthy glow without any residual stickiness. It even has a light citrus scent to match the brightening vibes.
Key ingredients: niacinamide, vitamin C, panthenol| Who it's for: those with hyperpigmentation on their body or people dealing with dull skin | Fragrance-free: no
Best Body Oil: Derma B Daily Moisture Body Oil
Why it’s worth it: The Derma B Daily Moisture Body Oil is another 2024 Allure Korea Best of Beauty pick—this time in the best body oil category. Their editors say the fig-scented formula quickly absorbs into skin while moisturizing it. The viscous liquid dispenses from a convenient, easy-to-use pump, so you can give yourself a little massage without having to deal with the bottle slipping out of your hands in the process. It gets skin glowing fast without feeling greasy or slimy. You can also mix it into your favorite lotion to boost its moisture-locking abilities.
Key ingredients: argan, grape seed, sunflower, and sweet almond oils | Who it's for: those with dry skin | Fragrance-free: no
Best Body Treatment: Aromatica Circulating Body Oil
Why it’s worth it: Unwind after a long day with the Aromatica Circulating Body Oil. Its medley of ginger, jojoba, patchouli, and juniper berry oils impart a warming feel and subtle earthy scent to turn any night into a spa moment. Pair the intensely nourishing, skin-healing body oil with your favorite gua sha massage tool to ease tired muscles and release tension.

Best Body Mist: D'alba White Truffle Aromatic Body Mist Serum
Why it’s worth it: The D'alba White Truffle Aromatic Body Mist Serum is the body-care version of one of Korea’s most popular face mists. Like the White Truffle First Aromatic Spray Serum, a layer of botanical oils floats atop this body mist’s hydrating, water-like formula infused with white truffles, which help hydrate, calm, and brighten skin. The difference between the two fan-favorite sprays: the White Truffle Aromatic Body Mist Serum, which Dr. Chang highly recommends, features more emollient oils and less face-focused actives to leave your body feeling like you just slathered it with fancy hydrating body butter with just a spritz.
Tester feedback: “Sometimes, just the thought of putting on body lotion exhausts me. The D'alba White Truffle Aromatic Body Mist Serum is a super simple alternative to keep skin fresh, nourished, and smooth,” Abelman says. “It’s easy to spray on right after hopping out of the shower to lock in major moisture. Sometimes, I spritz on this body serum before leaving the house instead of perfume because its elegant floral scent is so divine. You can also use it on your hair for a quick hydrating refresh.”
Key ingredients: avocado oil, oat kernel extract, basil extract, honey extract, vitamin C | Who it's for: everyone, especially those who find body lotions too heavy | Fragrance-free: no
Best Foot-Care Product: On:The Body Cotton Foot Foot Shampoo
Why it’s worth it: Keep feet feeling and smelling clean after working out or wearing shoes all day with On:The Body’s Cotton Foot Foot Shampoo—yes, this is a body wash specifically for your feet. Simply spritz it on, rub your feet together, and rinse. This antibacterial spray has become a viral sensation in Korea as a multi-purpose product that you can use to remove stains, clean the bathroom, and kill bugs.
Key ingredients: vinegar, tea tree, cica | Who it's for: everyone | Fragrance-free: no
Best Hand Cream: Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Nourishing Calming Hand & Nail Cream
Haruharu Wonder
Black Bamboo Nourishing Calming Hand & Nail Cream
Why it’s worth it: Honestly, Korea is gatekeeping its best hand creams. Popular brands, particularly Tambourins and Keyth, aren’t officially available in the U.S. (yet). Thankfully, Haruharu Wonder’s Black Bamboo Nourishing Calming Hand & Nail Cream is easy to shop stateside. Its chic, artsy tube is filled with moisturizing panthenol, healing vitamin E, and several components of bamboo, naturally rich in minerals and amino acids, to rapidly nourish dry skin.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are Korean body-care products different from American ones?
Korean body-care products usually use fewer butters and oils than American ones, and the scents tend to be much more subtle, Chung Park says.
Body care is also more deeply rooted in Korean culture than American culture. Koreans have a long history of frequenting public bath houses, like mogyoktang and jjimjilbang, and using a rough exfoliating washcloth daily, Chung Park explains. “That history is reflected in modern K-Beauty body products with lightweight body serums, mists, and lotions, as well as gentle body scrubs.”

How we test and review products
When Allure tests a product, our editors look at it from every angle in an effort to best serve you. We review ingredients, scrutinize brand claims, and, when necessary, examine peer-reviewed scientific and medical studies. In addition to testing each and every product that's included in each and every review, we rely on experts who shape their fields, including dermatology, cosmetic chemistry, and medicine, to help us vet the ingredients and formulas.
For our list of the best Korean body-care products, we considered each product's performance across five primary categories: product ingredients and efficacy, packaging, fragrance, texture, and product wear. Every product was determined to have excelled in each category by our editorial team, which is composed of in-house writers and editors as well as contributors—along with special consideration from board-certified derms and K-beauty experts. To learn more information on our reporting and testing processes, read our complete reviews process and methodology page.

After all, can we really say a skin-care product is the "best" for people over 50 if the only testers we've solicited opinions from folks who have yet to hit 30? Can we honestly deem a high-end diffuser worthy of your hard-earned cash if it's never been tested on curls? We're proud that our staff spans a wide range of ages, skin tones, hair textures, genders, and backgrounds, which means that we are able to fairly assess any beauty product that comes into the beauty closet.
